[English transcript]

Expression Australia, Melbourne Polytechnic and the Victorian Department of Education and Training are committed to ensuring quality educational outcomes for the Deaf and hard of hearing community.

Aspex Consulting have been engaged to undertake research to ascertain the emerging and ongoing issues facing the Auslan interpreting sector in Victoria in the vocational education and training sector, and more broadly. A key component of the project approach is to understand the issues you have experienced as a previous or current student.

The online survey is available here should you wish to complete the survey in English. Auslan Connections is also pleased to provide the opportunity for you to provide responses directly to the review team with an Auslan interpreter. Please contact Olivia.fay@aspexconsulting.com.au to arrange a video-conference at a suitable time.

The survey will be open until Friday 12th June.  It should take between 15-30 minutes to complete. Any information you provide will be treated confidentially.

This is a valuable opportunity for you to contribute to the understanding of both the opportunities and the challenges you face in the education sector. Your input will contribute to developing recommendations on future models that will provide an inclusive education for Deaf students and a well supported and sustainable interpreter workforce.

If you have any questions about the survey or how to complete it, please contact Aspex Consulting via info@aspexconsulting.com.au.
